The community and staff forums that happened last week and the week before went well, and I am excited to share information from those events with you today.
As we look toward the future of our buildings and grounds, we are guided by our Strategic Plan, which commits us to continuously assessing and improving our facilities. Our goal is to share information, listen carefully, and make well-informed, fiscally responsible decisions that support students, staff, families, and the broader Comet Country community. The feedback we receive will help us better understand which facility needs are most important to the people we serve.
Here is the slide deck I shared with staff, families, and the community at our Capital Improvement Planning Forums. I also recorded a summary of my presentation, and you can watch it here.
If you have a chance to review the slide deck and/or video, we would love to get your input to help us prioritize how to continue to improve our district facilities. People attending the forum completed a paper-and-pencil form, but you can submit your input online here. The online feedback form will close at 11:55 p.m. on Monday, May 11, 2026.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve this community, and thank you for giving us the opportunity to work with all of Comet Country's kids every day. Have a wonderful weekend; as always, I am #proudtobeacomet!
