REGISTRATION BEGINS July 1, 2026

Grades are as of the 2026/2027 school year

Leagues Offered:

Mini Comets (3 & 4 yr olds - as of 9/19/26)

Cub Comets (5 yrs old (as of 9/7/26) - Kindergarten)

Little Comets (1st / 2nd Grade) 

Junior Comets (3rd / 4th Grade) 

Golden Comets (5th / 6th Grade) 

Location: 

Practices - Hayes, Fitzgerald Park, Delta Mills (Early Childhood Center), Delta Center, & Wacousta

Games - High School Turf Stadium, Hayes, Track Fields (next to parking lot) & Boughton Soccer Field

Practices Start: Week of September 7th (practice day/ time/ location chosen by the coach at the coaches meeting)

Games: Saturdays, September 19th - October 24th (Make-Up: Week of October 26th)

Registration Fee: $65 - Fee includes Grand Ledge team jersey 

Registration Deadline: August 2, 2026

$10 Late Fee after August 2nd

Please Note: late registrations will be accepted until August 25th OR until the league is full. After August 25th please call the office for available spots to register over the phone with a credit card.

Equipment Needed

-Shin Guards (required)

-Cleats (suggested, not required)

-Soccer Ball (required for practice) ~ Size 3 (Mini Comets & Cub Comets), Size 4 (Little Comets, Junior Comets & Golden Comets)

You will hear from your coach shortly after the coaches meeting on Wednesday, August 26th, 2026

TEAMS & SPECIAL REQUESTS – Mini Comet teams are formed by separating age and gender as evenly as possible. In all the rest of the leagues, teams are formed based on school (when possible) while also considering evenly separating gender if there is more than one team for that school. After schools are separated then special requests are taken into consideration. SPECIAL REQUESTS ARE NOT GUARANTEED! Please understand that there are typically 600+ kids in this program. Putting teams together is a challenging puzzle and we try our best to honor as many special requests as possible, as long as the request is within the same age/grade division and placed prior to the registration deadline.

PRACTICE CONFLICT – If you have a practice conflict you may contact the Community Rec Office by Mon. 9/7/26 and efforts will be made to move your child to a different team IF SPACE PERMITS. If the league is full and there is no room to move your child, a refund can be issued if the request took place by September 7, 2026. Please Note: The Athletic/Community Rec Office is closed 9/4-9/7.

Refund Policy

REFUND POLICY – Refunds are issued if the request is made by Monday, September 7, 2026. Late Fees are non-refundable.
