Dear Beagle Middle School Families,
Here are some updates that we wanted to share with you at this time:
Parent/Teacher Conferences: Please note that our parent/teacher conference schedule will be different this year. Our parent/teacher conference schedule will be as follows:
- Monday, November 10th: in-person, both gyms, 4-7 pm.
- Wednesday, November 12th: virtual from 4-5:50 pm; in-person, in specific teacher’s classrooms 6-7 pm. A 3-minute transition period will be built into the in-person conference sessions, so that parents can move from classroom to classroom. Please note that we cannot honor in-person conferences during the virtual sessions on this day.
- Friday, November 14th: virtual 11:30-1:30
Mrs. Pelette, secretary, will be sending out scheduling information to families on Monday, October 27th. Please look for this communication to sign up for parent/teacher conferences. If you have any questions regarding signing up for parent/teacher conferences, please connect with Mrs. Pelette directly at pelettel@glcomets.net.
Good Luck Middle School Archers: Good luck to our middle school archers in their tournament tomorrow!
Bikers and Walkers: For those families that have students who walk or bike to school, please be sure to remind students that they need to stay on the sidewalks, stop at intersections, and be aware of traffic around them, especially since it’s dark outside during the morning hours before school starts. We encourage family members of bicyclers to ensure that bicycles have appropriate reflective gear installed and that helmets are always a great idea.
8th Grade Washington DC Trip Updates: Thank you to everyone who participated in the successful kick-off to our fundraising with the popcorn fundraiser! Today marks the start of the Holiday Wreath sale. Students will be given the order form today, and they are due on Thursday, October 3,0 by 2:35 PM. Please contact your child's Social Studies teacher if you have any questions.
Hayes/Beagle PTO Meeting: Our next PTO meeting will be held here at Beagle Middle in our Media Center on Tuesday, November 11th, at 6:30 pm. We encourage family members to attend these meetings. We have a strong joint PTO thanks to the many volunteers that serve, and our PTO does a great deal for both the school and our community. Please join us if you are able to do so. Please also know that attendance at one meeting does not necessitate or require future attendance; in short, family participation is consistently a “no strings attached” approach.
