Dear Beagle Middle School Families,
Here are some updates we wanted to share at this time:
Parent Teacher Conferences–Thank You: We thank our parents for participating in parent/teacher conferences this week. Communication between school and home is very important. We encourage our families to continue to reach out to their child’s teachers as needed throughout the year. Again, we thank you for your continued support and communication.
Feedback Appreciated: At Beagle Middle School, we value feedback from our families, so that we can grow and improve to better meet the needs of our families and students. Throughout the year, we will be sending our families brief surveys. We appreciate your support and feedback.
Veterans’ Day Cards: On Wednesday and Thursday this week during both lunches, students had the opportunity to make Veterans’ Day cards for our local veterans. We appreciate the support of our Comet Council members for facilitating this activity, and we thank our students who participated. In addition, we would like to thank all of our veterans for their service to our country.
Middle School Competitive Cheer: 6th, 7th, & 8th grade students can join competitive cheer. This sport includes all aspects of MHSAA cheer – cheer, motions, jumps, tumbling, and so much more. Coaches will train athletes by promoting positivity and building up strong, confident, respectful athletes while having fun, teaching lessons through teamwork, and making memories that will last a lifetime. Trimester 1 Grades: Final grades for trimester one are due for staff submission on Tuesday, November 28th. Final trimester one grades should be viewable within the Parent Portal by Wednesday, November 29th.
PTO Meetings: The Hayes/Beagle PTO meetings will be hosted here at Beagle Middle School in our media center. Parents should enter through the cafeteria doors as they are open for athletic events. The media center is located in the first hallway to the left once in the cafeteria. Meetings are held from 6:30-7:30pm. The next meeting will be on Tuesday, November 14. We greatly appreciate parent support and participation at these meetings. In addition, please follow the Hayes & Beagle PTO Facebook page for more information and updates regarding upcoming events.
Trimester Two Begins After Thanksgiving Break: Trimester two begins on Monday, November 27th. Students that have trimester-long electives will rotate into their next elective course, and this information can be viewed within PowerSchool on both the student and parent platforms. As we have discussed in the past, we cannot honor elective course requests. Students placed in year-long electives will maintain their elective courses for the year.

Looking Ahead:
- Friday, November 17th–Half day for students and staff, 7:52-10:52. End of trimester.
- November 20-24th–Thanksgiving Break–No School
- November 27th–Trimester two begins
