Dear Beagle Middle School Families,
With the school year winding down, this will be our last family newsletter for the year. Here are the updates that we wanted to share at this time:
Yearbooks: Students that ordered yearbooks earlier this spring received them today during CNC.
Medication Pick-Up: All students that have medications housed at Beagle with our medical staff must have their extra medications and supplies picked up from school by noon on June 5th. Any medications left after this timeframe will have to be disposed of per district policy. If you have questions about this, please reach out to Lacey Rumzek at rumzekl@glcomets.net. Please note that diabetic supplies can be sent home directly with students.
8th Grade Only Chromebook Collection: On Monday, June 1st during CNC, our teachers will begin to assess 8th grade chromebooks for damages. On June 2nd, Chromebook collection will begin for 8th graders. Be sure your child brings their charger to school. Teachers will provide 8th grade students with more information.
7th Grade Chromebook, Keep Over Summer: Our 7th graders are to keep their Chromebooks and chargers over the summer as these will be their Chromebooks for next year.
Big Fun Day: Next week on Friday, June 5th, students will report to CNC first thing in the morning instead of going to 1st hour. CNC teachers will release students to engage in Big Fun Day, which will be a host of indoor and outdoor activities for students (inflatables, games, etc.) sponsored by our outstanding Hayes/Beagle PTO. Staff will supervise students at designated stations throughout the morning; students will report back to CNC before being dismissed for the summer. Students are not allowed to bring backpacks on the last day of school. Kona Ice will also be available for purchase on Big Fun Day.
Thank you PTO: Shout out to our PTO for providing pizza to all students during CNC on Wednesday.
Rising 7th and 8th Grade Schedule Pick-Up/School Pictures: Schedule distribution and school picture opportunity for both 7th and 8th graders next year will take place on Monday, August 17th across two timeframes: 12-3pm; 4-7pm. Please note that it is not required for students and families to attend this event. We fully understand that families may have vacations planned during this time, or that they simply are not able to attend this event. Schedules can be obtained in our main office at any point after August 17th, Monday-Friday, from 8am-3pm. In addition, there will be another school picture opportunity early in the fall for students. Schedules will be viewable for both family members and students via Parent/Student Portal the morning of August 17th.
