Dear Beagle Middle School Families,
Here are some updates that we wanted to share at this time:
PTO-Sponsored Dance Tonight: We thank our PTO for hosting the Spring Dance tonight at Beagle from 6-8pm. Doors will open promptly at 6pm. Since it is still light outside at 8pm, students may walk home from the dance if they choose to do so. We kindly ask that students needing transportation home from the dance are picked up from Beagle promptly when the dance ends. In advance, we thank our family members that were able to help chaperone the dance this evening. Your support is truly appreciated.
Testing Updates: Our students have done a great job with all of the standardized testing this spring. In fact, we are completely done with PSAT and M-STEP testing, including make-ups. In addition, most students have completed their ELA NWEA testing. We have one more assessment next week: NWEA Math on Wednesday, May 6th. This will be the last assessment for Spring testing–thank goodness! We thank our families for continuing to support us during testing season; we could not complete these State requirements without your support. In closing, while we do not get true MSTEP scores until the fall, we do use this data to guide our instructional practices. Our Math and ELA teams will also be meeting for a data analysis conversation later in May to review the data, examine current practices and topics of focus, and make strategic plans for both the immediate and distant future. Again, we appreciate your support, encouragement, and understanding during spring testing season.
Hayes/Beagle PTO Meeting: Our next PTO meeting will be held at Beagle Middle School in the Media Center on Tuesday, May 12th, at 6:30 p.m. If you’ve ever wondered how to get more involved at your student’s school—or how to stay up-to-date on what’s happening at Hayes and Beagle—the PTO is a great place to start. There is no cost to join, and attending a meeting is an easy way to hear updates, share ideas, and learn how fundraising supports programs and opportunities for students and staff. We’re also looking for volunteers, whether you can help once or several times during the year; we would love to have you involved. Come check it out and see how you can be part of supporting our school community.
