Dear Beagle Middle School Families,
Here are some updates that we wanted to share at this time:
Rising 8th Grade Elective Roadshow Today: As we shared earlier this week, we are holding our elective roadshow today with our rising 8th graders. Current 7th-grade students will receive a copy of our elective course descriptions accompanied by a graphic organizer to help organize their requests before putting them into PowerSchool next week in Science class.
Elective Roadshow with Current 6th Graders: On Monday next week, we will be visiting Hayes students to engage in the elective roadshow as well. All current 6th-grade families received a comprehensive email from us earlier this week regarding middle school logistics and the scheduling process.
Choir Concert: A huge shout-out to all of our Choir students and Mrs. Burton for putting on an outstanding Spring Concert earlier this week at GLHS. We also appreciate all of the support from family and community members!
Unified Basketball Game: Last night, Beagle and GLHS Unified Basketball teams competed in multiple basketball games! It was so nice to see our athletes having so much fun and so many community members coming out for this great event! We thank our Unified team at Beagle, Mrs. Welton, and Mr. Arnett, for their continued efforts with these activities and events.
STRIVE/RISE Meeting:
The student STRIVE meeting in March will be focused on women's history. Students will learn about what Women's History Month is, how it came to be, and some of the major historical victories for women. Students will also discuss specific women in history and how their victories impact people today. More information will be provided to students during the day to get a pass to attend this meeting during CNC on March 17th.
Comet Council Talent Show: Next Friday, March 20th, the Comet Council is hosting the Beagle Talent Show at the high school auditorium. The show starts at 6 pm and is free for all to attend. Come support our students and their wonderful talents!

Hayes/Beagle PTO Meeting: Our next PTO meeting will be held at Beagle Middle School in the Media Center on Tuesday, April 10th, at 6:30 p.m. We welcome all families to attend. There is no cost to participate, and coming to a meeting is a simple way to stay connected and informed.
The Hayes/Beagle PTO supports meaningful events, activities, and opportunities for our students and staff, and this work is possible because of the many families who volunteer their time. Upcoming Important Dates:
3/16/26–Elective Roadshow for rising 7th graders, at Hayes
3/27/26–4/6/26–Spring Recess, which includes 4/6/26 as it’s a teacher PD day.
4/8/26–PSAT Testing–Required by the State of Michigan for all 8th graders; 7th graders do not report until 11:50am this day for an altered schedule in the PM for all students. Transportation will be provided for both 7th and 8th-grade students (2 pick-up runs; 1 PM run) on this date.
4/15-4/17–MSTEP 7th grade ELA and 8th grade Social Studies (in core classes); make-ups immediately after
4/22-4/24–MSTEP 7th grade Math and 8th grade Science (in core classes); make-ups immediately after
4/28- NWEA ELA (altered NWEA schedule)
5/6- NWEA Math (altered NWEA schedule)
