Dear Beagle Middle School Families,

Here are some updates that we wanted to share at this time:

Winter Realities: Well, winter set in pretty quick here in Michigan once again, and it looks like the temperatures and the snow are going to be around for some time. With that being said, we wanted to remind our families that we *attempt* to get our students outside regularly for outdoor recess throughout the year as that is what’s best for them, especially during virus season.  We have been encouraging students to keep an eye on the forecast and to dress accordingly for the weather, especially if they choose to engage in outdoor recess.  In the same breath, it’s also important for students to continue to remain physically active outside of school during the winter months for the aforementioned reasons, especially if the physical activity is outside.  It’s simply good for the mind, body, and soul.  In Michigan, we are lucky to have multiple outdoor recreational opportunities either in our backyard or just a short drive away.  We thank our families for continuing to promote physical activity on the home front, so that students keep those endorphins up during the arduous winter months.

Holiday Band Concert: A huge shout out to all of our Band students and Mrs. Zerman for hosting an outstanding Winter Band Concert last night at GLHS!  We also thank our families and community members for coming out to the show to support our students and program.  Great work!

Upcoming Choir Concerts: Please mark your calendars for the upcoming Holiday Choir Concert on Monday, December 15th from 7-8:30pm at GLHS, which will spotlight our 8th grade Treble Choir along with the Hayes 6th grade choir students and Holiday Carolers.  On December 16th–same time, same place–the Holiday Choir Concert continues with the 7th grade Treble Choir along with the 7th/8th Tenor/Baritone Choir.

If items are shipped directly to Beagle, please add a note: "Beagle Middle School: PBIS". Thank you in advance for your support! https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/366JRNKFDCKNL?ref_=wl_share

Hayes/Beagle PTO Meeting: Our next PTO meeting will be held here at Beagle Middle in our Media Center on Tuesday, January 13th at 6:30pm.  We encourage family members to attend these meetings.  We have a strong joint PTO thanks to the many volunteers that serve, and our PTO does a great deal for both school and our community.  Please join us if you are able to do so.  Please also know that attendance at one meeting does not necessitate or require future attendance; in short, family participation is consistently a “no strings attached” approach.
