Dear Beagle Middle School Families,
Here are some updates that we wanted to share at this time:
Choir Concerts and Holiday Caroling: A huge shout out to our Choir students, Mrs. Burton, and Mrs. Karkau for putting on outstanding choir concerts earlier this week. In addition, Mrs. Burton and a select group of Holiday Carolers visited all of our elementary schools this week to sing for the students. This was an outstandingly positive experience for students across the district, and we thank them for their hard work and efforts.
Thank You, PTO: We thank our outstanding PTO for sponsoring a Beagle Staff Holiday Breakfast earlier this week. Prior to school, our staff members were able to gather and connect, enjoying a hot breakfast before school started. We appreciate the support of our PTO with hosting this event.
Girls Basketball Tryouts: Tuesday (January 6) we get back from break. 7th Grade from 3-5 and 8th Grade from 5-7.
Wrestling Tryouts: Tuesday (January 6) we get back from break. This will be at 2:45 in the wrestling room.
Gender and Sexuality Alliance Club (GSA): Beagle will be hosting an after-school GSA club beginning January 13th, recurring the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Meetings will run from 2:50-4 pm in the media center. For many years, GLHS has had an after-school GSA club, and this club was formed to provide students the same opportunity hosted at the same time as the high school’s after-school GSA club meetings. Hayes/Beagle PTO Meeting: Our next PTO meeting will be held at Beagle Middle School in the Media Center on Tuesday, January 13th, at 6:30 p.m. We welcome all families to attend. There is no cost to participate, and coming to a meeting is a simple way to stay connected and informed.
The Hayes/Beagle PTO supports meaningful events, activities, and opportunities for our students and staff, and this work is possible because of the many families who volunteer their time. Grand Ledge Lacrosse Club: Registration Open! Winter Clinics - no experience, no problem!
Sundays, January 11th—March 1st, from 11:00 am-1:00 pm at the “Old Sam’s Club” 340 Edgewood Blvd, Lansing. New and returning boys and girls build skills with coaches and fellow players in an atmosphere focused on fun and positivity. Equipment available - first come, first served basis. Spring Season Registration is open and discounted until January 1, 2026 (use discount code EARLYBIRD25). The season runs Mid-March thru May with practices in Grand Ledge and games in the Greater Lansing Area.
