From Our Principal

As we wrap up this incredible school year, I sincerely thank our Delta Center staff. Your dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence have made this year successful. Our collective efforts have yielded significant progress, and I am incredibly proud of our accomplishments. Delta Center's combined 3rd and 4th-grade students over the past five years have shown an impressive 12.3% increase in ELA proficiency and an astounding 7.7% increase in Math proficiency. This remarkable accomplishment is a direct reflection of every Delta Center teacher. Their dedication and commitment to implementing effective teaching strategies, providing individualized support, and fostering a positive learning environment have been instrumental in achieving these results. These gains highlight the strength of our curriculum and the collaborative effort of our entire school community. Each grade level either made or surpassed the goals set at the beginning of our school year. I am incredibly proud of our staff and students' work!

We are incredibly proud of our students for their perseverance and growth, and we thank our families for their unwavering support and encouragement at home. Together, we have created a foundation for continued success, and we look forward to building on this momentum in the coming years. Let's celebrate this achievement and continue striving for excellence!

Your child's report card will be viewable in PowerSchool on June 9th.  There will not be a printed report card for your child.  If you need assistance viewing the report, please contact the office.

Today's Field Day is a HUGE success!
A heartfelt thank you to our incredible Mrs. Watters for her outstanding organization, arriving at the crack of dawn to set up, and planning every detail of this amazing event. We're also so grateful to our fantastic volunteers, teachers, and staff who helped run each station with energy and enthusiasm—it truly ran seamlessly because of you!

Outstanding teamwork and so much fun all around!
Be sure to check out Delta Center’s Facebook page for photos from today’s celebration!

Kindergarten Enrollment

If you have a new student to enroll in BK or Kindergarten for the 2025 - 2026 school year, please contact Mrs. Reiber at 517-925-5681. Once your child is registered, you will be invited to attend ONE parent meeting. During the parent meeting, we will discuss our BK and K programs, kindergarten curriculum, expectations, preferred school supplies, and other important information to help you and your child prepare for their kindergarten year. Your child must be registered before attending a parent meeting; we ask that you attend only ONE parent meeting. If you have not yet enrolled your child for BK / Kindergarten, please use this link: Enroll Today!

As always, if you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

Any medication we have here at the school will need to be picked up on or before 6-6-25 before 12:30pm with the exception that your child is attending summer learning, in that case we can transfer the medication to the summer learning program. Medication that is not picked up will be properly disposed of according to district policy/guidelines.

I have sent home new paperwork for next year in your child's backpack.

Please note, we do need a new full packet filled out every school year. Some  paperwork is doubled-sided. Please be sure all signatures are provided. We also need the medication provided to have a recent up to date prescription label on the box or bottle.

If you have any questions, please call me.

Thank you!

Hello families!

Library books were due on May 22nd. Our school still has nearly 70 books still checked out by our students. Please be sure to check your emails for automated emails from our library indicating what books still need to be returned. Replacement fee invoices were sent home this week if you are unable to locate library books, however, there is still time to return library books during the last week of school. Thank you for helping your child locate their library books! It is appreciated.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Gee, Library

Volunteering & Chaperoning

Persons wishing to volunteer for Grand Ledge Public Schools are required to complete the Volunteer Registration Form and be approved prior to serving as a volunteer.  All volunteers MUST check in at the office to receive a BADGE prior to proceeding to any other area on school property.  Please visit District Volunteer Application to complete the process.

Please note: the background check takes a few days to process, so submit your application in advance based on your volunteer plans.

If your student will be moving to a different school next year, be sure to select both their current school and the school they’ll be attending.
For example: If your child is currently in 4th grade at Delta Center and will attend Hayes next year, select Delta Center and Hayes on the application. This ensures you’ll be cleared to volunteer at both locations when needed. Applications are valid for one calendar year.
