Section 31a
Section 31a of Public Act 15 of 2025 (pg. 44) provides categorical funding to eligible local education agencies (LEAs), both traditional public school districts and public school academies (PSAs), to support Michigan students who qualify for at-risk services with targeted instructional and direct noninstructional support aligned to the purposes provided in subsection 1:
- for the purposes of ensuring that pupils are proficient in English language arts by the end of grade 3,
- that pupils are proficient in mathematics by the end of grade 8,
- that pupils are attending school regularly, and
- that high school graduates are career and college ready.
