Message from the Principal
Thank you for using your visor name tags during pick-up. With nearly 300 students being picked up, it is EXTREMELY helpful for us to see and call your child’s name on the radio for the team to cue them in the staging area. Parents, staff, and students are working towards loading 4-5 cars at a time after cars pull all the way forward. Please remember to drive with caution while on school property. Thank you for your patience and cooperation in helping to keep our students safe.
We had our first PTO meeting last week. We have a number of fun events throughout the school year. First up is our annual Fun Run. Please see the Fun Run information below for registration details. If you haven't had a chance to join the Delta Center PTO, please consider doing so. The next meeting is October 11 at 7 p.m. in the Library.
Helping out during lunch – we’re looking for some additional adults to assist our kiddos during our lunch period and we’d love it if you could volunteer! If you are interested in working in any capacity with students during the school day or chaperoning field trips, please complete the volunteer application here. This process will run a thorough criminal background check. Once approved, you will need to check in at the office using our new Raptor system which will run your state-issued ID and print you out a badge to wear. You will need to check in at the office and run your ID each time you volunteer. Thank you for considering.
As always, if you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Hi Delta Center families! My name is Mindi Stevens and I’m excited to be returning as your child’s school counselor. I am here to support all the students here at Delta Center and their families. Throughout the school year, I will be providing classroom lessons to all students focused on social and emotional skills as well as career awareness. I will also be teaching social skills in the form of small groups. The small groups that will be offered this fall include coping skills, friendship building skills, conflict resolution, family changes, and worry warriors.

Holiday Wishes is back this year! We took 2 years off due to COVID. Holiday Wishes has been around for more than 25 years. It is a Holiday Show made up of local talent.
We are looking for children in kindergarten through the fifth grade who would like to sing in our children’s chorus. Rehearsals will start on October 7th at the First Congregational Church from 3:00 pm to 3:45 pm. The church is located at 210 W. Saginaw Hwy. in Grand Ledge.
The show will be held on December 7th & 8th at the Grand Ledge Opera House. The show starts at 7:00 pm. All proceeds from the show go to the Grand Ledge Food Bank.
Contact me Christine Douglas with any questions. My phone number is 571-643-0993. I have been the Children’s Choral director for more than 15 years, and the children always seem to have a great time participating in the show. Thank you, Christine.
