Dear Beagle Middle School Families,

Here are some updates that we wanted to share at this time:

Digital Readiness PSAT for 8th Graders: Our 8th graders engaged in “Digital Readiness” during their Social Studies classes this week, and they did an outstanding job!  Currently, all 8th graders are in possession of a “Test Ticket” where they can access the practice PSAT as many times as they would like from now until the actual test on April 9th.

Elective Roadshows: The Elective Roadshows went well at both Hayes and Beagle this week!  Students at both Hayes and at Beagle brought home elective course descriptions to their families this week to discuss their elective requests for next year.  Using the organizers provided, students solidified their requests, and they have begun to enter them into PowerSchool at Hayes; Beagle students will enter their requests on Monday in Science class.  Course requests for both rising 7th and 8th graders are due before Spring Break.

Choral Festival: We wish our Choir students the best of luck at Choral festival today and tomorrow!  Next week, we will celebrate their rankings in the newsletter.  We thank Mrs. Burton, Choir Director, for her continuous support, passion, and dedication to our middle school Choir program along with all of the parent volunteers that continue to contribute their time to support our students.

Next week is Neurodiversity Celebration Week: All around the world, this week is a worldwide initiative that challenges stereotypes and misconceptions about neurological differences and works to help the world understand, value and celebrate the talents of neurodiverse minds. At Beagle Middle School, we are going to celebrate with a Neurodiversity Celebration Spirit Week to recognize and celebrate all the wonderfully diverse minds here at Beagle. Girls’ Lacrosse: Coach Pierce is still looking for more middle school girls interested in Lacrosse!  The season just started, but that is OK!  Coach Pierce will take as many girls that are interested.
