Acting Superintendent

GLPS Families, This morning, GLPS Board of Education accepted former Superintendent Dr. Davenport's resignation and waived a 90-day resignation notice to allow him to focus his full attention on an unexpected health issue. During the special meeting, school board members also appointed me as acting superintendent. The board will discuss next steps in filling the superintendent job permanently at its regular Aug. 8 meeting. As the acting superintendent, I am here to support you and your students, and I look forward to the work ahead. Thank you for all you do; as always, I am #proudtobeacomet!
