Who Can Join?

6th, 7th & 8th graders in the Grand Ledge Community including: Grand Ledge Public Schools, St. Michael's New Covenant Christian, Our Savior Lutheran, St. Gerard's and Home Schoolers that live within the GLPS District.

What Is It All About?

Competitive Cheer is designed to teach and train athletes for competition in accordance with MHSAA Rules and Regulations. This sport includes all aspects of cheer including: cheer, motions, jumps, tumbling, and so much more. Coaches will train athletes by promoting positivity and building up strong, confident, respectful athletes while having fun, teaching lessons through teamwork and making memories that will last a lifetime.

Practices: (Begin November 18, 2025)

Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays: 6:30-8:00 p.m. @ Sawdon Gym

Tumbling ~ Wednesdays: 5:45-7:00 p.m. @ Sawdon Gym

No practices will be held 11/26-11/28, 12/25, 12/26, 12/31 & 1/1 (There could be Friday practice over the holiday break)

Competitions: (Subject to change)

1/10/26 - Rochester HS

1/17/26 - Grand Ledge HS

1/24/26 - Mt. Pleasant HS

1/30 (Fri) - Lakewood HS

2/7 - TBD

2/14 - Milford HS

Cost:

$500 - Includes: registration fee, competition fees, tumbling, shoes, bow, warm-ups & uniform

(uniform must be returned after the season is complete)

OPTIONAL PAYMENT PLAN (if needed):

The fee can be made in payments on the following dates:

November 18, 2025 - All participants MUST be registered and pay at least $250 by this date

December 16, 2025 - 2nd payment of $250 is due

Please Note: failure to pay the $500 in full by December 16, 2025 will result in participant not being allowed to participate in practices or competitions until payment is received.

Cheer is very dependent of each member on the team. It's important that each athlete is committed to attending every mandatory practice and competition. This program runs 10 weeks.
