*** PARENT MUST ACCOMPANY CHILD IN WATER ***
Guppies (2 years old - 4 years old)
While in Guppies, parents continue to work with their child on water adjustment, practice independent pool entry/exit, blowing bubbles and submerging, floating on front and back, gliding through the water on front, swimming on back, and jumping into the water to parents, as well as water and boat safety.
*** PARENT MUST ACCOMPANY CHILD IN WATER ***
Pre Level 1 (3.5 years old - 7 years old)
While in pre level 1 we work on water adjustment, safe pool entry/exit, water safety, breath control, floating on front and back, gliding through the water on front, swimming on back, and face submerging.
Level 1
While in Level 1 we work on safe, independent pool entry/exit, water safety, submerging under water, floating on front and back, gliding through the water on front, swimming on our back independently, and jumping into the pool.
Level 2
Prerequisites: Swimmer must be able to swim the width of the pool independently on their back.
While in Level 2 we continue to build endurance with independent swimming on their back, breath control while retrieving objects from the bottom of the pool, holding breath for 10 seconds while submerged, introduce arm pulls to swimming on front (crawl stroke), jumping into the pool into deep water, and boat safety.
Level 3
Prerequisites: Swimmer must be able to swim the length of the pool independently on their back and swim the width of the pool with adequate crawl stroke.
While in Level 3 we continue to build endurance by introducing rhythmic breathing, streamlines, and working on swimming our crawl stroke 25 yards. We will introduce backstroke, elementary backstroke, survival float, treading water, changing directions while swimming, diving, and reaching assists.
Level 4
Prerequisites: Swimmer must be able to swim 25 yards of adequate crawl stroke and backstroke, tread water and survival float for 1 minute each, and perform satisfactory elementary backstroke.
While in Level 4 we continue to build endurance by swimming our crawl stroke and backstroke 50 yards and our elementary backstroke 25 yards. We will introduce breaststroke, underwater swimming for 15 feet, diving with a spring, open turns, throwing assists, and increase our stamina by preforming our treading water and survival float for 1 1/2 minutes.
Level 5
Prerequisites: Swimmer must be able to swim 50 yards of adequate crawl stroke and backstroke, 25 yards of elementary backstroke, tread water and survival float for 1 1/2 minutes each, and be able to perform a knowledge of breaststroke.
While in Level 5 we continue to build endurance by swimming our crawl stroke 75 yards, backstroke and elementary backstroke 50 yards, and breaststroke 25 yards. We will introduce sidestroke, butterfly, flip turns, surface dives, and will continue to increase our stamina by preforming our treading water and survival float for 2 minutes.

Prerequisites: Swimmer must be able to swim 75 yards crawl stroke, 50 yards backstroke and elementary backstroke, and 25 yards of breaststroke, sidestroke, and butterfly, as well as tread water and survival float for 2 minutes each.
While in Level 6 we continue to build endurance by swimming our crawl stroke and backstroke 100 yards, and backstroke, elementary backstroke, sidestroke, and butterfly 50 yards. We will learn how to fitness swim with circle swimming, using a pace clock, learning about and using flippers, pull buoy, and kick boards appropriately, as well as gaining the ability to swim continuously for 12 minutes. We will introduce the sport of diving, proper stretching techniques, basic approach and hurdle on the diving board, as well as tuck jumps and tuck dives. We also work on personal water safety by retrieving a 10lb brick from 7 feet of water, treading water for 2 minutes with legs only, 5 minutes of survival float, and will perform a disrobing exercise.
