Health Center: Summer Schedule Adjustments

Plan ahead! There are some summer schedule adjustments at the GLPS Health Center this August. 

It is also sports physical season. Any student wishing to participate during the 2024-25 school year in any athletic program grades 7-12 must have a current Athletic Physical on file in the athletic office. A physical is considered current if it is dated on or after April 15, 2024. The GLPS Health Clinic can do athletic physicals.  If a student has not had their annual well-child visit (physical), then a sports physical form will be filled out as part of that well-child visit - which would be covered by insurance. Otherwise, there is a $25 charge for a sports physical.  Because it is a school based clinic, things work a little differently - kids can come and be seen without a parent present if they have the proper parental consent forms completed. Because of this, the clinic does require that the students have their sports physical forms filled out by a parent prior to their appointment. If their forms are not filled out properly and the parent is not present for the appointment, they will be rescheduled. The clinic does accept walk-ins, but please encourage parents to call and schedule an appointment to cut down on wait time.
