From Our Principal

This week, we began our fall data analysis meetings with our Kindergarten and third-grade teams. During these sessions, we closely examined students' fall NWEA, Acadience, and IXL data. Together with our teachers and specialized staff, we focused on enhancing Tier 1 instruction by implementing intentional, research-based strategies to address gaps in math and reading based on students' specific needs. Additionally, each teacher uses a workshop-style approach, which allows for targeted, skill-level work aimed at boosting student achievement. Next week, we will continue this work with our first, second, and fourth-grade teams, applying the same data-driven approach to support student growth and achievement.

Our fun run is scheduled for next Friday, October 11, 2024. For more information, please click this link.

Halloween is just around the corner! Our Halloween festivities will take place on Thursday, October 31st. Your child's teacher will provide details about their class party, including the time and any need for volunteers. Please remember that volunteers must be approved through our volunteer system. We’ll share the parade schedule next week.

To ensure a fun and safe celebration for all, please follow these costume guidelines:

*Masks may be worn, but please avoid excessive makeup due to the time and assistance it requires.

*Costumes promoting violence, blood, gore, or indecency are not permitted (e.g., zombie-like costumes).

*Costumes celebrating patriotism and what children want to be when they grow up are encouraged.

*Be original, creative, and/or funny—remember, we are Delta Center Stars!

We welcome volunteers! Please complete the volunteer application here if you’re interested in helping during the school day or chaperoning field trips.

We look forward to a fun and festive Halloween!

Our next PTO Meeting will be Wednesday, October 9th at 6:30 p.m. in our Media Center.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
