Dear Beagle Middle School Families,
Here are some updates we would like to share at this time:
Parent/Teacher Conferences: Next week, Mrs. Pelette, secretary, will be sending registration information to our families regarding upcoming Parent/Teacher conferences, which will begin on Monday, November 9th. This communication will be coming out early next week. Please note that we will be offering one night of in-person conferences, November 9th, and two virtual opportunities for conferences: November 11th and 13th.
Middle School FFA Program: We are excited to invite all 7th and 8th graders to join our FFA chapter! FFA is a fantastic way for students to build confidence, dive into hands-on projects, make new friends, and develop leadership skills. In Middle School FFA, students can participate in:
Travel & Leadership: Attend the FFA State Convention and go on chapter trips.
Hands-On Competitions: Compete in quiz bowl, floriculture, public speaking, environmental skills, tractor driving, livestock judging, and more.
Community Impact: Take part in local service projects and fun chapter events.
No farming or agricultural background is required! There is truly a place for everyone in FFA!
If your student is interested in getting involved or wants to learn more, please fill out our quick interest form: https://forms.gle/uorfP57Lh3ygxbv5A. Please direct any questions to Savannah Mauk, Agriscience & FFA Program Coordinator, mauks@glcomets.net.
Bench Ceremony in Honor of Student: We want to thank the neighbors of the Shadow Glen Subdivision that donated a bench to Grand Ledge Public Schools in honor of Michael Sammon. In addition, ribbons were provided to all students to honor his memory. The bench proudly sits in front of Beagle for all to enjoy and remember Michael.
