Dear Beagle Middle School Families,

Winter NWEA Testing: Wednesday, January 17th (Math); Thursday, January 25th (ELA).  We will follow the same process in the fall (altered day schedule).  Students will report to CNC first thing in the morning to engage in testing for the morning hours, and then they will attend all classes sans CNC later in the day.  Lunch will also be provided based on the altered schedule.  Staff will review the altered schedule with students prior to both testing sessions.  Students that are absent for testing or need to finish NWEA testing will be pulled by our counselors to finish testing the following days.  We are required by the State of Michigan to engage in some other form of testing beyond MSTEP and PSAT, and NWEA testing fits that requirement with the State of Michigan and is used universally across the district.  Therefore, timely attendance is imperative on testing days, including MSTEP and PSAT, which will be later in the spring.  Continued parent support is appreciated here.

Comet Council:  Our Comet Council has done an outstanding job with fundraisers, obtaining donations for the community, developing a peer tutor program,  organizing an upcoming talent show, creating suggestion boxes for our student body, and a whole host of other amazing things that help to continue to improve our culture at Beagle Middle!  We are extremely proud of their efforts, and we also thank Ms. Savage for supervising and supporting our Comet Council students in their endeavors.  With that being said, we encourage our parents to review the Comet Council web page, which is connected to our website.  Here is the link:  Our student body can use this website to provide suggestions, review upcoming events, and sign up to either be a tutor or to have tutoring provided.  Again, we thank our Comet Council students and Ms. Savage for all of their hard work and efforts to continue to make Beagle a great place to be.

PBIS Store: The PBIS store has been a huge hit for students. This is a way for students to turn in their earned PRIDE tickets for choice prizes. At this time we are asking for specific donations to help keep our PRIDE store stocked. If you are interested in donating any of the specific items listed below please drop them off at the office any time during the school day. We appreciate your support in this opportunity for our students.
