GLPS Families,

As we head into our holiday break, I invite you to watch this quick video (for a transcript of the video, please click here. Translation services are available for the transcript at the link above). Thank you very much for your support, and for allowing us to work with your students every day. As I say in the video, I hope you all find peace and joy this time of year, and I wish you and your families the happiest of holidays. Have a wonderful break; I look forward to seeing you all in 2024. As always, I am #proudtobeacomet!

VIDEO TRANSCRIPT:

Hello GLPS families, and Happy Holidays!

This is Superintendent Bill Barnes. As we prepare to head out to our break this year, I want to take a moment to celebrate all of you; our families, our students, our staff, and our community. Grand Ledge Public Schools is an incredible district, with amazing extracurricular, co-curricular, and academic programs that set our students up for success while they are here and after they graduate. At the heart of all of those programs are the people that are in them, and because of that, all of you make GLPS a premier school district. This is the time of year when we celebrate the traditions that are important to our families, whether, it is Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, the New Year, or other important events in our lives and our families’ lives, so as you head off to break and your families’ celebrations, I want to wish you joy and peace this holiday season. Thank you for what you bring to our district every day, and thank you for what you do to give us reason to celebrate throughout the year. Because of you, and because of all you bring to our district every day, I am always #proudtobeacomet!
