Distance Learning Program at GLPS

GLPS Families,

GLPS has offered a distance learning program for the past two school years, and the 400+ students enrolled in it have achieved well academically, as evidenced by our standardized test scores. We also received a great deal of positive feedback from students and families about the structure, format, and instruction in the distance learning program. Below are a couple of quotes from distance learning parents.

A 7th-grade parent shared, “Changing to the online option has been life changing for my child and our family. He is smiling again! The teachers have been wonderful! The interactive zoom classes provide real time instruction with class discussion. The “break out rooms” give the opportunity for one-on-one instruction…all while continuing in a structured class setting from home. This has been great for my child’s mental health and I am so thankful for this option. Thank you, Grand Ledge!”
A 9th-grade parent said, “The distance learning program has been a game changer for our son! He has struggled with health issues for many years that have made the typical brick and mortar setting very difficult for him. This program has allowed him access to a high school environment that meets his needs. The teachers are exemplary and have gone above and beyond! They do anything necessary to ensure their students are successful! They have on many occasions met with him individually and in small groups to provide necessary support! The program as a whole is a class act. Hands down one of our greatest blessings for him!”

As we look ahead to this school year, we need to plan for how many students will be in the distance learning program so we can determine what all we will be able to offer. The 2023-2024 distance learning program will be only for students going into grades 7-12.

If you are interested in enrolling your child in the Grand Ledge Public School's distance learning program for the 2023-2024 school year, please fill out this form. Please fill out a separate form for each child for whom you are requesting the distance learning program. Once we gather this initial information, we will communicate to you additional details and other pertinent information later in August.
