Today's Minor Bus/Vehicle Collision

September 16, 2022 Grand Ledge Public School Families, I am writing to provide you with some information about a minor bus/vehicle collision. This morning bus route 14 was in a minor bus/vehicle collision on Wacousta Road while traveling to Wacousta Elementary School. Immediately, our bus driver contacted dispatch and 911 was called in Clinton County. This is standard procedure for any accident involving a school vehicle. When emergency vehicles arrived, they checked the well-being of all the children on the bus and our bus driver; no injuries were detected. They also attended to the other motorist involved. Dr. Barnes, Dr. Gabriel, and Principal Groves arrived to show support to our school children and our bus driver. I would like to thank our bus driver for doing an excellent job controlling the bus during the collision and bringing it to a safe stop. His top priority is to keep the children safe, and he did everything possible to do so this morning. Thanks,
