Hello GLPS Families, Graduation is tonight, so a BIG HIGH FIVE to the CLASS of 2022! Congratulations! Graduation is at MSU's Breslin Center and will start at 7:00 p.m. tonight. Best wishes to all the graduates. Kevin Johnson, a 4th-grade student at Willow Ridge Elementary, wrote a letter to the Superintendent about how students should have longer recesses – complete with great reasons and supporting examples. Dr. Davenport makes time to talk to people about their thoughts and concerns related to Grand Ledge Public Schools, so he dropped by Jill Ford's classroom to meet Kevin Johnson and talk with him and his classmates. As part of the 4th-grade curriculum, students had been learning about persuasive writing. Dr. Davenport's visit helped underscore the importance of what they were learning at school. Willow Ridge students might not get longer recesses, but a big long break known as summer vacation is right around the corner! The last day of school for students is a half-day on Wednesday, June 15, 2022.
