6-10-2026 » Please note that Grand Ledge Public Schools does not permit the use of fireworks on school property. State law MCL 28.462 specifically states, "A person shall not ignite, discharge, or use consumer fireworks on public property, school property, church property, or the property of another person without that organization's or person's express permission to use those fireworks on those premises." Superintendent Dr. Bill Barnes has issued a memo stating, "we do not permit the igniting of any consumer fireworks on the District's property." Thank you for keeping our schools and district property safe and clean. Link to the message sent to families.
