Percussion Camp at Beagle, 9am-5pm, June 26-30, 2023

Grand Ledge Public School Community,

We apologize for this short notice, but in light of ongoing construction at Grand Ledge High School, it is necessary for us to move all of our summer band camps over to Beagle Middle School.  Our percussion camp is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., June 26-30, 2023. 

We recognize that this may cause an inconvenience with the additional noise as our young student musicians prepare for the upcoming marching band season.  This past year, the Grand Ledge Marching Band experienced amazing successes:   

• Grand Champion at the Rockford Marching Invitational
• Grand Champion of the Hastings Invitational
• Grand Champion of the DeWitt Marching Band Invitation
• Grand Champion of East Kentwood Invitational, plus caption awards for color guard, percussion, music, and marching

The GL Marching Band went 4 for 4 on the season for highest score at each competition, and we achieved the highest scores ever seen in our school’s history.  We hope to do well again this fall, and that’s why our student musicians are preparing now at our summer band camps.

This is also an opportunity to invite you to the 35th Annual GL Marching Band Exhibition on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at our stadium.  About 20 local marching bands will perform, plus the MSU Spartan Marching Band is scheduled to do a special performance.

Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as our student musicians prepare for another season of marching band and know we appreciate all the support you – the Grand Ledge Public Schools community – provide to our band program, our students and our district as a whole.
