May 11-May 15, 2020
Good Morning Hayes’ Families,
We hope that you and your family were able to enjoy Mother’s Day despite the weather. It’s hard to imagine that in a few short days we will jump from these frigid, rainy conditions to summer-like weather, but better weather is on the way!
Lockers and School Material Return
We do understand that our families have many questions at this time, including obtaining items from lockers and returning school materials. While the district was intending to implement the plan developed for this process immediately after May 15th, the district’s plan will have to be modified due to the “Stay Home, Stay Safe” order being extended through May 28th. We will keep our families notified regarding this process via school messenger in the future.
Food Distribution
Another important message to pass along is that our food distribution location has changed to our school for the duration of the school year. Distribution times remain the same: Tuesday and Friday from 10:30-12:00.
Students of the Week
Even though our students are engaging in school remotely, we would like to continue to acknowledge students continuing to demonstrate Comet PRIDE! The students listed below have been nominated by their teachers for their hard work and dedication; we are very proud of their efforts. Mr. Leopold and I will be hosting a Zoom session with these students later this week to congratulate them, and we will continue to acknowledge students in the weeks to come. Please celebrate the success of the following students:
