Dear Hayes Parents,

Thank you for your support and encouragement with the reading portion of the NWEA test this week.  Our English teachers have students in each class that need to finish the assessment, and they will do so on Monday, October 19th during their live English sessions.  The window for the Math portion of the NWEA assessment opens on Tuesday, October 20th and runs through November 2nd.  Math teachers will support students with their portion of the assessment during live sessions.  Again, thank you for your support and patience.

Mrs. Boruta, 7th grade Math, and Mrs. Earle, 8th grade Math, will be working with students that still need to complete their Delta Math Screener tomorrow.  If Mrs. Bortua or Mrs. Earle sent your student an email regarding finishing the Delta Math Screener, then please encourage your student to connect with them as instructed tomorrow.

Please note that tomorrow is a half-day of school, and teachers will have asynchronous work posted for students to complete.  Please also note that there is no "Support Time" on half-days.  Please also note that "Support Time" on Fridays will be moved up to 10:30-11:20 beginning on Friday, October 23rd based on the lack of student participation later in the day.  Our goal in moving the support time up on Fridays is to see if we are able to engage with more students.

Finally, we have received many questions about upcoming sports such as basketball.  At this time, we do not have any information to share; however, we will share information regarding boys' and girls' basketball season as soon as we have more information.

We hope you have a great weekend!

Take care,

Dave and Eric
