Dear Beagle Middle School Parents,

Here are some updates that we wanted to share with you:

Middle School Track: The first day of track practice is Monday, April 4th.  Practices will be Monday-Friday from 5-6:30 pm.  Track is an all-participant sport, meaning that there are no tryouts. The track team is looking for parent volunteers as well.  Anyone interested in helping can contact the Mrs. Alyssa Arnouts, head coach, at We have also reminded students via morning announcements. Also, athletes must have a current sports physical on file prior to participation.

Congratulations to Our Choir Students: Our Choir students did an amazing job at Choir Festival last week and this week, scoring all 1’s (top score).  We greatly appreciate all of their hard work and efforts this year, and we also appreciate the continued passion, support, and encouragement Mrs. Kristen Burton, Choir Director, provides her students on a consistent basis.

Second Trimester Honor Roll:  We are so proud of our 2nd trimester Honor Roll Students!  Our 2nd trimester Honor Roll Students can be found on our website:

Hayes/Beagle Joint PTO:  The next PTO meeting will be on Wednesday, April 6th at 6 pm via Zoom. We welcome and encourage Beagle parents to attend our PTO meetings.  Here is the recurring Zoom link for future PTO meetings: http://  You can also stay up-to-date with the Hayes and Beagle PTO by following on Facebook.

Pre-Administration for PSAT, 8th Grade Only:  This week during Check and Connect, our 8th grade students last names A-L engaged in pre-admninistration for the upcoming PSAT today; students last names M-Z will engage in this process tomorrow.  Essentially, they simply bubbled in basic information on a scantron sheet; this process helps to expedite the formalities of the PSAT on test day and it reduces the total amount of time students have to remain in a testing room.  If your student missed their pre-administration for PSAT, we will pull them after spring break to ensure they are ready for PSAT testing (see below for more information regarding PSAT).

Room Assignments for PSAT, 8th Grade Only:  Room assignments will be posted throughout the building when we return from spring break.  8th grade students will be reminded on the morning announcements to look for their room assignment for PSAT testing (see below for more information regarding PSAT).

Wednesday, April 13th–8th Grade PSAT in AM; Half-Day PM for All: On Wednesday, April 13th, all 8th grade students will engage in the required state standardized test known as the PSAT.  Our 8th graders will test in the morning, arriving to school at normal time, while our 7th graders will stay home for the morning.  7th grader bus routes will run about 3.5 hours later in the day to bring our 7th grades in for a half-day beginning at 11:10am.  After testing, our 8th graders will also engage in half-day of instruction.  Lunch will be provided to both 7th and 8th grade students.  It is imperative that our 8th graders arrive on-time as testing begins promptly at 8am, and students will be expected to be in their testing room by 7:55am.  If students arrive late, they will not be allowed into their testing rooms.  They will have to make-up the assessment on an alternate day.

Students’ of the Week, Extra Curricular, and Community Resources:  To view our students of the week or to review additional community/extra curricular information on our webpage, then please click here and then click on the appropriate link on our homepage.

These are all the updates that we have for now.  Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.

Take care,

Dave and Eric
