June 2, 2023: Welcome to Beagle Middle School- Rising 7th Graders

Dear Rising 7th Grade Beagle Families,

We are looking forward to next school year and working with you and your student! We are also looking forward to seeing all of our rising 7th-grade students next week as they come to tour Beagle Middle with their current 6th-grade teachers.  During this time, students will be able to tour the entire building, meet our student support team, and ask questions to a panel of current 7th-grade students.  These tours are always exciting, and it helps to relieve some of the stress that many students face when transitioning to a new building.  We are looking forward to it!

Also, we wanted to take this opportunity to inform our new-to-Beagle families that we are actively working on students' schedules at this time.  While student schedules are completed before we leave our offices for the summer, we do not share the schedules with students and parents until later August.  Therefore, if you cannot view your student's schedule until later August, please rest assured that this is completely normal.  The reason we do not share schedules until later August is because we cannot predict unforeseen circumstances such as staffing changes or logistical changes.  We appreciate your patience with this process, and we will continue to communicate with all parents again about schedules and upcoming events in early August.

7th Grade Schedule Pick-Up, School Pictures, and Chromebook Distribution-- August 23rd from 4-7 pm: Please mark your calendars for this event here at Beagle Middle with the understanding that if you cannot make it to Beagle during this time, we will be here the rest of the week and the following week, daily, from 8 am-3 pm.  During schedule pick-up, students will have the opportunity to obtain their schedule, tour the building, find their classes, and engage with their assigned lockers.  In addition, school pictures can be taken at this time; school pictures, retakes, and make-up opportunities for school pictures will also be available during the school year in the early fall.  Finally, we are a 1:1 school regarding Chromebooks, meaning students are provided a school-issued Chromebook and charger at the beginning of the year, and they are expected to use this device on a daily basis.  They are also allowed to take these devices home on a daily basis.

Again, we are excited to meet and work with you and your student next year.  We will send another reminder email before the end of this school year about August 23rd, and we will continue to communicate early in August when we return to our desks.  As we move into August, more specific information will be shared with parents regarding school-wide expectations and policies to ensure we start the year off on the right foot.

Have a great day,

Dave Kushman, Principal
