Archery Club

Archery Gang,

A few updates for info. that you are going to want to know about.

#1-  The new spring season starts TOMORROW!   If you haven't signed up yet, there are still some openings at the Middle School and High School level. (Feel free to pass the information and forms along to anybody else that might e interested.)  The season will run up until Friday, March 20th.  The following week will be our archery banquets to celebrate what a great year we have had.  After spring break, only the kids going to Nationals will continue to practice.

Dates to save:

Put these dates on your calendars!

Spring Season-  January 6th-March 20th

Archery Banquets-    Monday, March 23  6:30-8:30 PM  (Middle School)

Wednesday, March 25  6:30-8:30 PM   (High School)

***We will need some people to head up/plan for the banquets.  We need to get planning very soon.  We need someone to head up each banquet and be the "contact person".   So, if you can help out, it would be much appreciated.

Put these dates on your calendars!

Howell  (January 25th)-  State Qualifier

Swartz Creek  (February 8)-  State Qualifier

Hartland  (February 15)-   State Qualifier

Grand Ledge 3D Archery Classic  (Nationals qualifier) (February 22)-  You better be there!

I will be sending out out info. to help volunteer for this tournament soon.  It takes a lot of people to pull off the greatest tournament of the year!

Howell 3D Tournament (Nationals Qualifier)  (February 29)-

State Tournament @ the Summit-   March 21st    Bullseye Tournament to get to Nationals.

**All of the signups will be in the range when you go to practice by the second week of the season.  There will be dates that you must sign up by as well.  If you sign up for a tournament, you are responsible for paying the entrance fee (usually $10).  If not, the team gets stiffed for the bill if we can't drop you in time before the tournament.

One of the things that I will be working on in the new year, is asking for help more when I need it.  And, the archery parents for the duration of this program (8th year!  Yeah us!) have been the most supportive group of people I have ever had the pleasure to work with.  I hear horror stories from other districts in their struggles and count my blessings every day for each and every one of you.  Thank you for being there when we all need some help in working with the largest, most diverse, and most inclusive sport in our whole district.

As always, if you have any questions, please let me know.
